Being a photography addict

The Street Zen Photographer: Why Street Photography is Meditation

If you haven’t heard of street photographer Rinzi Ruiz, let this serve as a nice introduction to him, his work, and the philosophy behind his work. Ruiz’s a Los Angeles-based photographer who treats street photography as an opportunity for meditation — work inward and observe. And, to be honest, I really like this sentiment. He’s a photographer in tune with the more integral parts of photography. The essential parts are the ones that make the visual medium so uniquely appealing. This is why I love street photography.

Three cheers to Rinzi Ruiz!
