While I think this tutorial is really useful, and the lighting setup for headshots in this video is somewhat cheap, I think my favorite part has to be one of the adjectives the SLR Lounge host uses to describe expensive setups. I haven’t heard it in a while. So to join the party, I also used it in my headline: Uber. And to refresh everyone, uber means a supreme or outstanding example of any particular thing.
It’s of a Germanic origin. And has a weird roll from the tongue. UBER. Yet it describes expensive setups so well that I thought it would work in describing this tutorial. Thus this sentence: watch this uber-cool video and you’ll be able to light some headshots on the cheap, thanks to the folks at SLR Lounge.
