It seems like there are three type of photographers when it comes to post-production: the purists, the in-betweeners, and the anti-purists. This tutorial is for the anti-purists. It is through and through pure fakery (as opposed to pure documentation). In other words, it is complete post-production magic. It will teach you how to add rain to a photo that never had any at the start. If you’re anything but a purist, it’s really cool!

The anti-purist is a photographer in love with technological wizardry, unlike the purists — mostly the film gals and guys — who only shoot what’s in front of them, adding nothing or taking nothing away, or the in-betweeners who strive for a beautiful frame and don’t care how they get there. They are the reality manipulators and pixel augmenters . . .
