Ah ha! I found the “little ballhead” gadget. They’re called the “Lovegrove Flash Bracket.” I highly recommend them 🙂

I spent a week with Damien and can’t say enough how great that was. I highly recommend all his instructional videos. He’s creative and works quickly and effortlessly. It’s really fun watching him, and I’ve learned a great deal. He changed my approach and took my work to the next level.

BTW – the “little ballhead” he uses on his Speedlights is a custom gadget he had made. I have three of them in my bag. They are fantastic! I can’t find them at his on-line store, and fear they’re discontinued. You can get something similar if you search (long and hard). The alternative I found was two parts, and half plastic. The ones from Damien were well-made from aluminum. He had told me they were rather expensive and he ordered a lot of them. He may have lost money on them, or didn’t make much, and may have decided not to re-order.

I really enjoyed the tutorial. I’d love to know what that little ballhead he’s using on his speedlight is. But love the look, great explanation into his process. Lovely models, great posing… very good tutorial.
