I had watched some of Nino Batista’s photography tutorials on youtube over several years, and when his 30 Premium Retouching Video Tutorials came up on sale a while back, I didn’t hesitate buying them knowing that these were no longer available on youtube.
I’m not new to using Photoshop or other retouching software but I’m far from being an advanced or even master retoucher and knew I needed better training to advance my skills.
I have only watched a few of the videos so far and it is amazing to watch Nino share his advanced retouching skills with others.
Only a couple of minor complaints.
1. I don’t have the video tutorials with me right now but I seem to recall that when I watched some of them, I was surprised that some presets mentioned in some of the videos were not included.
2. I know this is not the purpose of these video tutorials but I wish the tutorials were structured, starting with how Nino sets up his software for best results, then teaching some basic retouching techniques followed by his intermediate and then advanced techniques.
You can’t go wrong buying Nino’s retouching tutorials, you will learn a lot and help support Nino and his fantastic work.

I really enjoy Nino’s work and the variety of lighting situations used. I have only made it through the first dozen or so videos, but so far they are well worth the investment. Much of the info I already knew (I’ve been doing photo since this nasty stuff called film…), but even with the things I already knew, it is great to see someone else work and their technique. Don’t get me wrong, even as a photog of 30+ yrs., he has a lot of new info that I either didn’t know, or areas I have just not gotten to.
